Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has rubbished talk that star player Alexis Sanchez is close to a £70 million transfer to French side PSG, reports the Evening Standard.
Speaking after Arsenal’s friendly defeat to Premier League champions Chelsea, he dismissed talk of a move for Sanchez, branding it ‘media imagination’.
He also dismissed the notion that the Gunners were more willing to sell Sanchez to a foreign side rather than a Premier League rival. The Frenchman stated:
I don’t think it makes any difference.

Sanchez joined Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014 and since has made 144 appearances for the North London side. In that time, he has scored 72 times and has set up a further 42 goals for his team mates.
Arsenal finished last season fifth in the Premier League, losing out on a Champions League place. Sanchez has cited Champions League football as one of his reasons for why he would like to leave the club this summer if reports are to be believed.
