# PSG set to test Arsenal resolve with £70m Sanchez offer

PSG are set to make a £70m offer for Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez, to test their stance on keeping him.

According to [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/psg-ready-70m-sanchez-bid-10847465), PSG are determined to sign the Chilean international.

They are confident that Arsenal would sell them to avoid letting him join a Premier League rival, with Manchester City thought to be keen.

According to [the Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/07/21/arsenal-do-not-expect-alexis-sanchez-force-move-away-summer/), earlier today, Arsenal are confident that Sanchez will go about his business in a professional manner regardless of the final decision on his future.

The report claims that Arsenal will only allow Sanchez to leave if an extraordinary offer comes in.

Whether PSG’s £70m offer falls under that umbrella remains to be seen.

However, Arsenal are also unwilling to sell Sanchez to a direct [Premier League](https://readpl.com/) rival.

PSG are willing to meet Sanchez’s £400k-per-week wages demands that Arsenal have refused to comply with.

The Gunners have signalled their intent for the coming season by smashing their transfer record to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.

The French striker has joined the club in a £52m and scored on his debut against Sydney on last week.

Sanchez is set to return to training with Arsenal at the end of the month following the Confederations Cup.
