In a preseason game against Bayern Munich, Arsenal beat the German champions 3-2 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 in 90 minutes.
After a nervy start from The Gunners, Bayern won a penalty in the 8th minute and Polish striker Robert Lewandowski nicely put the ball past Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal.
With just minutes left to play, Alex Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey linked up to put Arsenal level at 1-1 with an Iwobi header sending the game to penalties.
Ramsey, Nacho Monreal and Iwobi scored in the shootout, with Arsenal ‘keeper Emiliano Martinez saving penalties from David Alaba, Renato Sanches and Juan Bernat to get the Gunners a win.
