# Juventus in advanced negotiations over Szczesny move

Arsenal are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Juventus over a move for Wojciech Szczesny this summer.

According to a report from the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/szczesny-arsenal-transfer-news-juventus-10810563), the Gunners are holding successful talks with the Serie A champions ahead of the Pole’s expected move to Turin, and a deal could be struck soon.

Max Allegri is keen to land the Poland international as he looks to secure a backup option for Gianluigi Buffon this summer.

Szczesny has impressed during his loan spell with Roma and boasts immense experience at the top level. This has clearly prompted Juve to seek a move for the goalkeeper, whose time at Arsenal appears to be rapidly coming to an end.

The 27-year-old is poised to complete a deal worth a fee in the region of £8m, and will be keen to impress when given the opportunity.

Arsenal, meanwhile, may be keen to land a goalkeeper themselves this summer. David Ospina looks set to depart, and Petr Cech is remaining in pole position to be the club’s number one for the 2017/18 campaign.
