Mahrez holding out for Arsenal move
According to Goal, Riyad Mahrez is holding out for a move to Arsenal, despite interest from Italian side Roma.
Roma have lodged a €35m offer for the winger but Mahrez is waiting on Barcelona or Arsenal.
Mahrez is said to be keen on a move to Arsenal and has handed in a transfer request at Leicester.
The winger returned to training with his club last week, with his future still hanging in the balance.
Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare confirmed last week that no official bids had been made for Mahrez.
Leicester’s £50m asking price for Mahrez has prompted Arsenal to submit an offer for Monaco winger Lemar, thought to be around €45m.
Arsenal completed the club-record signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon this summer, signalling their intent for the upcoming season.
They are now looking for an addition to their wide areas with Thomas Lemar and Mahrez the top two choices.
With Roma now going in for Mahrez, Arsenal could focus all their attention on a move for Lemar, forcing Mahrez into making the move to Italy.
