Wenger hoping that Bayern and PSG follow up Sanchez interest

Arsene Wenger is hoping that both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain follow up their interest in Alexis Sanchez this summer.

The Express reports that the Gunners boss is unwilling to sell the player to Manchester City, who had been linked with an audacious move for the Chilean.

Wenger has refused to sell the player directly to a Premier League rival and is banking on the two aforementioned clubs making a bid for the player.

Paris Saint-Germain would be able to match the player’s huge wage demands, which have reported to be somewhere in the region of £400,000 per week.

The former Barcelona man is seen as a realistic target for Bayern Munich in terms of a transfer fee, but the Bavarian side would not be willing to meet his demands.

Sanchez only has one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates and could walk away from nothing next summer if he does not agree on fresh terms.
