# Mahrez unhappy with Arsenal pursuit of Lemar

According to [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/mahrez-arsenal-leicester-transfer-lemar-10757248), Riyad Mahrez is frustrated by Arsenal’s pursuit of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

Mahrez is keen on a move to Arsenal and is annoyed by the club’s decision to go for Lemar after Leicester put a £50m on his head.

Mahrez has handed in a transfer request and is looking to leave [Leicester](https://readleicester.com/) this summer, which could aid Arsenal in their negotiations.

The winger was due back to training today, with his future still up in the air.

However, Leicester’s £50m asking price for Mahrez has prompted Arsenal to submit an offer for Monaco winger Lemar, thought to be around €45m.

Arsenal completed the club-record signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon on Wednesday, signalling their intent for the upcoming season.

They are now looking for an addition to their wide areas with Thomas Lemar and Mahrez the top two choices.

Arsenal have completed two signings so far this summer; Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac.
