According to French outlet L’Equipe, as cited by Sports Witness, Gunners rivals Tottenham are preparing a bid for Thomas Lemar.
The Monaco winger has been subject to plenty of interest already this summer, and Arsenal seemed to be leading the race for his signature.
L’Equipe claimed that Arsenal had offered €40million and bonuses for the Frenchman but it is now reported that Spurs and even Liverpool could make a bid in the coming days.
Lemar had an exceptional campaign with AS Monaco last term, as he found the net 14 times and assisted his team mates another 17 times.
However, the 21-year-old is currently tied down with the Principality outfit until 2020, and with Monaco’s stance on the situation very clear – in that he is not for sale, a deal could be difficult to complete.
It was believed last month that Spurs had ended their interest in Lemar, but new evidence suggest they are back – and readying an offer.
