Arsenal given boost after Kjaer deal denied

Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of defender Simon Kjaer after Fenerbahce denied a deal was agreed with AC Milan, according to Turkish Football.

Earlier this week the Turkish media claimed that Kjaer has agreed personal terms with AC Milan and that a £10.5 million fee had been agreed for the Danish international. This led to the Turkish giants stating on their club website:

“The article published today in both Turkish newspapers claiming that we have struck a €12m deal with AC Milan are false. We have not received such an offer. We urge these newspapers not to share fake news and be more responsible in leading the public.”

It is believed that Arsene Wenger is interested in adding the Fenerbahce star to his defensive options, however, they are demanding £17.5 million for their man who still has another two years remaining on his current contract, and will not sell for anything less.
