Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has a strong interest in CSKA Moscow youngster Aleksandr Golovin, and it has been revealed that he personally asked an agent to watch him play recently, according to reports in the Metro.
Football agent Sandor Varga claims that the Gunners boss phoned him up and asked him to watch Golovin play for Russia during the recent Confederations Cup. Varga told the Russian media:
Arsene Wenger called me and asked me to watch Golovin again. He was going to come but his scout in Russia sent him 6 to 8 positive reports and so he asked me to watch him instead.

Golovin, 21, has made 70 appearances since breaking into CSKA’s senior squad as a teenager, and the midfielder is being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates ahead of the upcoming season.
Premier League rivals Chelsea are also believed to be keeping tabs on Golovin’s situation, however, Wenger seems to be more interested than Conte and an offer in the region of £10 million may persuade the Russian side to part ways with their young star.
