Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for club record fee believed to be around £52.7 million.
The French international has signed a long-term contract having completed a medical at Arsenal’s training ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Aged 26, Lacazette finally decided to make a move away from Lyon, the club where he has been scoring goals regularly for a number of seasons.

He has scored 129 goals in 275 games in all competitions for Lyon and Arsenal fans will be hopeful that he can replicate such form at the Emirates.
Despite winning the FA Cup, Arsenal had a disappointing season both in the league and in Europe and they’ll be hoping that their new club-record signing can score the goals that can help them compete for the league title once again.
