Arsenal set to target Miralem Pjanic

Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic, according to reports in Italy.

The 27-year-old only signed for Juventus in the summer of 2016 but since joining he has added eight goals and 15 assists to the Italian champions, stats that have apparently interested Arsene Wenger once again.

The Bosnian central-midfielder was wanted by Arsenal when he was at Roma but he chose the move to Turin. It would certainly be surprising to see Pjanic move to the Emirates but the Gunners are doing their best to improve ahead of the new campaign with the signing of left-back Sead Kolasnic and imminent record signing Alexandre Lacazette.

Pjanic would certainly add a lot to the creative side of the Arsenal midfield and could potentially replace injured Santi Cazorla.

Juventus are not looking to sell Pjanic or any of their top players but when big offers are made, that may change. Any offer made north of €40m is appearantly head-turning for Juve and they may have to resign to losing their Bosnian star.
