Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is reportedly eyeing a dream return to Barcelona, according to Spanish outlet SPORT (h/t Sky Sports).
After finishing runners-up to Germany in the Under-21 European Championships in Poland, Bellerin is said to want a move back to the place where it all began for him, as he awaits Arsene Wenger’s approval for the switch to go ahead.
Barcelona have been persistently linked with the Spaniard, with their right-back position seemingly their ‘problem’ position, and since the departure of Dani Alves, they have not been able to find a proper replacement.
The Catalan side have made their intentions very clear that they would like to bring Bellerin back to Camp Nou, and following fellow Spaniard Denis Suarez’s comments a few weeks ago regarding Bellerin being ‘in two minds’, it appears the Arsenal star would favour a return to his homeland.
The 22-year-old made 42 appearances for the North London club, as the Gunners qualified for the Europa League and won the FA Cup, in a mixed season for Arsenal.
