Arsenal have reportedly had a bid turned down for Napoli midfielder Jorginho.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, as covered by Metro, the Gunners lodged a £15m offer in an attempt to land the Brazilian this summer.
However, the Serie A outfit have rebuffed Arsenal’s offer as they look to keep hold of one of their key players.
Jorginho enjoyed yet another fruitful season with Napoli, showing impressive signs in Maurizio Sarri’s ever-attractive side.
The 25-year-old appears to be one of many targets for Arsene Wenger this summer as he looks to build his Arsenal squad up in order to make a genuine challenge at the top of the table next season.
It’s claimed in the report that Napoli have insisted that Jorginho will not be leaving the club this summer, although he may have to fight for his place in Sarri’s starting line-up given the quality in depth at the club.
