Premier League side Southampton are ready to offer in excess of £16m for Arsenal defender Calum Chambers.
According to Graeme Bailey, in the Gambling Times, Southampton are prepared to make a bid in the region of the £20m.
Arsenal signed Chambers from Southampton three years ago after the defender burst onto the scene in the Premier League – making 22 appearances in the 2013/14 season.

Chambers has gone on to play 59 times for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring three goals.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan to Premier League side Middlesbrough, playing 26 games as the Teeside club were relegated from the top-flight.
Despite their relegation, Middlesbrough boasted one of the best defensive records in the bottom half of the table, of which Chambers was an integral part.
The report claims that Everton, Bournemouth and Newcastle are also keen and that Chambers will have talks with Arsenal over his future when he returns from international duty.
