# Arsenal target reportedly allowed to leave Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan has reportedly been told by the club that he can leave this summer, with Arsenal expressing their interest.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Turkey international for some time now and it’s looking as though they may very well be in with a chance of landing the former Atletico Madrid man.

According to a report from [Marca](https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2017/06/19/5947bafb468aebac028b4650.html) today, the reigning Copa Del Rey champions have advised Turan’s representatives to consider any offers that may come in for him this summer.

This could work well in Arsenal’s favour, with the same report claiming that they have lodged a €30m offer to land the Turk this summer.

Turan has not lived up to expectations since his big money move from Atletico and has left a lot to be desired.

It’s not a surprise that Barca are looking to offload Turan, but their loss could turn out to be Arsenal’s gain.
