Arsenal have been joined in the race to sign young Nantes player Amine Harit by German side Schalke 04.
According to German outlet Kicker, as cited by Goal, Schalke’s sporting director has heaped the praise on the 19-year-old, labelling him a ‘very interesting player.’ The Bundesliga outfit are reportedly looking to bolster their midfield options this summer and Harit is understood to be high on their shortlist.
Goal state that Arsenal scouted the youngster towards the end of the 2016/17 Ligue 1 campaign and could make a move for the French under-20 international.

Amine Harit is said to be under contract with the French side until 2020, allowing Nantes to demand a sizeable fee for the teenager and it is claimed they would like around €15 million.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger certainly has a knack for uncovering young talents and spotting exciting prospects, could Harit be the next signing to join a long line of players for the future?
