Arsenal are ready to battle with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Benfica winger Diogo Goncalves.
The 20-year-old is struggling to earn a place in the Portuguese side’s first-team so understandably is willing to seek new options this summer.
A report from Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, as covered by the Birmingham Mail, has claimed that the two English sides rate the youngster highly and could make a move in the upcoming transfer window.

The Mail’s report goes on to say that the Portuguese player has dismissed speculation touting him with a move to The Emirates, subsequently moving Wolves ahead in the race.
Goncalves is labelled as a ‘tricky winger’ and possesses the ability to play in any position of an attacking-midfield trident – left winger, number ten or on the right.
He’s even been described by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as ‘his passion’, in previous years – but could Arsenal step up their interest this time around?
