# Galatasaray plotting Campbell move

Arsenal winger Joel Campbell appears to be a target for Galatasaray, and they are claimed by reports in Turkey to be plotting a bid.

According to Turkish media outlet Hurriyet, as covered today by [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/arsenal-fc-transfer-news-galatasaray-planning-ps26-million-offer-gunners-outcast-joel), the Costa Rica international has emerged as a serious summer target and could be set to leave the Emirates this summer.

Campbell has never lived up to the expectations that were initially set of him when he joined Arsenal at a rather young age, and this has seen his fall from grace result in several loan spells away.

He spent last season temporarily at Sporting CP out in Portugal, but failed to really make his mark on the Primeira Liga and could only muster up seven starts.

It’s stated that Galatasaray’s proposed bid will be worth £2.6m, which would be a somewhat lowly opening offer for the 24-year-old.

Besiktas are also claimed to have shown interest.
