Barcelona’s new boss Ernesto Valverde is planning on making Hector Bellerin his first summer signing as he plots a £50m bid for the Spanish full-back, according to The Mirror.
Valverde has stated how he plans to ‘win everything’ in his first season with the Catalan giants and will waste no time in making some signings.
Even though Bellerin signed a new six-year contract with the Gunners back in November, the Spanish full-back is high on the list of targets at the Nou Camp.
Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are also very interested in signing Bellerin this summer as they look to strengthen their fullback options.
Bellerin, 22, came under fire from his own fans during the 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace back in April and Barcelona see him as the perfect candidate to replace Dani Alves who left for Juventus last season.
The full-back looks likely to play for Spain this summer in the Under 21’s European Championship finals in Poland, with Wenger wanting him to have a rest this summer after making 42 appearances for The Gunners during the campaign.
