The Mirror have reported this afternoon that Arsenal are set to miss out on a deal to sign Barcelona winger Arda Turan.
Speaking today with Turkish media, Turan’s agent stated that the club’s directors are happy with him and he’ll be with the Spanish giants in the near future.
The Turk has revealed that he wishes to stay at the Catalan club amid claims he would be the first victim of Ernesto Valverde’s overhaul.
Turan arrived at Barcelona in 2015 but has failed to live up to the expectations attached to his £24m price tag and the club could be seeking to cash in on the exciting midfielder.
Arsène Wenger has reportedly got a huge transfer budget to spend this summer after signing a two-year contract extension last week. The Frenchman is a huge admirer of Turan but it looks as though he will be looking elsewhere for a new winger.
