According to Ed Aarons of the Guardian, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made his first move to sign Nice midfielder Jean Seri.

Seri has enjoyed a superb last couple of seasons in Ligue 1 and has gone from strength to strength, flourishing under both Claude Puel and Lucien Favre.
The Ivorian international is a man high in demand, with the likes of Barcelona, Tottenham, Roma, PSG, Borussia Dortmund and of course, Arsenal all previously cited with interest.
Nice hold all the cards in any potential deal for Seri and it’s clear that they will seek only the highest fee for the enigmatic midfielder, and he could cost a bomb.
Wenger and Ivan Gazidis have reportedly been spotted out in Nice this week, so perhaps a move for Seri is something on the agenda!
