# Oxlade-Chamberlain set to stay at Arsenal

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly in line to stay put at Arsenal this summer, warding off interest from the likes of Liverpool.

According to a report this evening from the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-star-alex-oxlade-chamberlain-10560436) this evening, the Gunners are set to persuade the England international to remain at the Emirates for the foreseeable future by offering him a new deal worth over £100,000 per week.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s long-term future in North London had been under some serious scrutiny, with various reports suggesting that he was keen to try and force a move away from Arsenal this summer as he seeks trophies.

However, it looks as though he will now stay with Arsene Wenger’s men as they look to push on next season.

The Gunners are stated to be confident of keeping the versatile Englishman at the club beyond this summer, with Liverpool’s interest now expected to cool.

Wenger has reportedly made it clear that he’ll look to tie up a deal for Oxlade-Chamberlain in the coming few weeks.
