Barcelona are still interested in signing Héctor Bellerín this summer, but the club aren’t keen on including Arda Turan as a makeweight, according to Metro.
The Catalan giants are reportedly keen on offloading the Turkish midfielder this summer, but would prefer to wait for a Chinese club to come in with a large offer than to lose him in a part-exchange deal.
The former Atlético Madrid midfielder has found it difficult to establish himself in Barcelona’s first-team since joining the club 18-months ago, playing in just under half of Barcelona’s league matches last season.
According to Metro, Arsenal have agreed a deal with Turan that will see him move to the Emirates this summer, but Barcelona are still holding out for a larger transfer fee.
Meanwhile, Barça are hoping to sign Héctor Bellerín as they look to bolster their defensive options ahead of next season.
Barcelona never suitably replaced Dani Alves after he left for Juventus last summer, often opting to field Sergi Roberto at right-back out of position ahead of Aleix Vidal, who has struggled for game time at the club.
Bellerín would certainly strengthen the club’s defensive line, ahead of what will be a new era under incoming manager Ernesto Valverde. However, after recently extending his contract with Arsenal to 2023, it is reported that a bid in the excess of £40million will be required to steal away the young Spaniard.
