According to a new report from Turkish Football, Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.
Barcelona have recently appointed a new manager in Ernesto Valverde and it looks as if the team could be set for an overhaul this summer with Turan one of the players being allowed to leave.
The Turkish winger, who was sometimes left frustrated at being played out of position at Barça, has been a disappointment for the Catalan outfit since his £24million signing in 2015.
Turan offers a versatile profile, with capabilities on either flank and as a number ten, although at 30-years-old is he the type of player Arsène Wenger should be looking at for the future?
Wenger signed a two-year extension at the Gunners on Wednesday and is set to be given a large budget to improve his squad ahead of the season.
