Arséne Wenger has signed a new two-year extension at Arsenal and is set to be rewarded with funds to improve his squad as he wishes.
The forthcoming summer is set to involve an overhaul at The Emirates as Wenger decides who he deems good enough to achieve his target of winning the Premier League.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal have identified three attacking players to bring to North London this summer; Carlos Bacca, Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar.
Riyad Mahrez this week has handed in a transfer request at Leicester City therefore, for the right fee, it could be a very realistic signing. Although, the Gunners could be put off if Leicester refuse to budge on their £40m price-tag, as reported by France Football.
However, Thomas Lemar has been spoken about by Monaco’s owner who has specifically said that the 21-year-old is not for sale this summer. This suggests that Arsenal will have to up the stakes and offer a huge fee to prise the Frenchman away from the Ligue 1 champions.
AC Milan’s striker Carlos Bacca is also reportedly on the shortlist, as Arsenal look to bolster their attacking options for a tight schedule next season which involves Europa League football.
