# Arsenal line up huge Lacazette bid

Arsenal have been linked with Alexandre Lacazette for what feels like forever now, and new reports are suggesting that they are lining up a huge summer bid for the Lyon forward.

According to an exclusive report from French news outlet [JF](https://www.jeunesfooteux.com/Mercato-OL-Arsenal-ne-lache-pas-Lacazette_a27781.html), the Gunners are poised to offer a fee worth a staggering £48m to lure him away from the Ligue 1 side and to the Emirates this summer.

Lacazette confirmed near the end of the 16/17 campaign that he is to leave Lyon this summer, prompting what promises to be a summer bidding war for his services.

It was initially believed that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid were in pole position to land the clinical striker but with their transfer embargo taken into consideration, a move could very well collapse.

The report suggests that the Gunners would only pursue Lacazette if Alexis Sanchez does decide to leave the club in the transfer window.
