Alexis Sanchez’s future at Arsenal has been a subject of uncertainty for some time now, and it looks as though the player is keen to reunite with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer.
According to Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas, as cited by a report from the Manchester Evening News, the dynamic attacker is looking increasingly likely to leave Arsenal this summer and the Etihad Stadium is his preferred destination for a move.
The report states that City would be prepared to cough up a big fee of £50 million in order to lure Sanchez to the club this summer, but Arsenal are keen to avoid letting their prized asset depart for another club in England.
Bayern Munich have been touted with interest in Sanchez as well, so perhaps the Gunners will patiently wait for the German champions to make a move before considering City’s bid.
Sanchez worked with Guardiola at Barcelona and with Arsenal failing to secure Champions League football ahead of City, the Chile international is understandably keen.
