Arsene Wenger will reportedly announce where he will be managing next season after the FA Cup final against Chelsea next week.
According to the Sunday Times, Wenger has spoken to his backroom staff about the possibility of him signing a new deal and announcing it after the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
This news will come as quite a shock for some Arsenal fans. During this week a £1.2 billion bid was put in by Alisher Usmanov, who currently has a 30% stake in the club.
Finishing in the top four is almost a regular occurrence at the Emirates but this season they could finish outside of the Champions League qualification spots. Arsenal would need to beat Everton and would be relying on Liverpool to drop points to Middlesbrough.
As a football club, the Gunners have been under a lot of pressure this season, as they aim to secure a place in the top four, Wenger’s future dominating the headlines and most importantly, keeping hold of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil who are both out of contract next year.
Chilean international Sanchez has undoubtedly been Arsenal’s best player this season and would be a massive loss if the rumours of him leaving are true.
