Arsenal kept their Champions League hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Emirates, thanks to a brace from Alexis Sanchez.

The atmosphere at the stadium was very odd to say the least as plenty of seats remained empty and for 70 minutes, already relegated Sunderland held firm until Sanchez tapped in Mesut Ozil’s square pass from close range.

Nine minutes later, the Chilean star bundled in Olivier Giroud’s cut-back to put the game to bed and keep the pressure on Liverpool going into the final game of the season.
