Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is set to wait and see whether or not Arsene Wenger leaves the club before making a decision on his own future, the player’s agent has confirmed.
Speaking to French news outlet FootMercato, as reported by talkSPORT, the France international’s agent Michael Manuello rejected claims that Marseile had made contact with Arsenal over a potential move for Giroud.
Nothing is true. There was talk that Olivier was in contact with Rudi Garcia. I said that that was false. There is no contact between Marseille and us. At this point, there is no contact.
When we know exactly what Arsene Wenger is doing, we will ask ourselves questions. We will think about what is possible and what is not possible.
The experienced forward has been struggling to find consistent game time this season at Arsenal and this has led to intense speculation surrounding his future at the club, with Ligue 1 giants Marseille touted with serious interest.

It’s relatively unclear as to whether or not Wenger will stay beyond this season at the Emirates, with calls for him to be relieved of his duties progressing to be as poignant as ever.
But his future is not only linked with that of the manager. It is linked to what Arsenal are going to do and if there is a change at Arsenal in terms of how Olivier is implicated at the project.
However, Manuello did insist that he and his client see their long-term future to be situated in North London with Arsenal.
Things have not changed since his contract extension. Our desire is be at Arsenal long term.
