Roma are reportedly considering a move for Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal this summer.
According to an exclusive report from TMW, the Spaniard has been lined up by the Serie A side in case their negotiations with current left-back Emerson Palmieri fall through.
Monreal has come under some criticism, like many of the Arsenal squad, this season for some poor displays at left-back but this clearly hasn’t unsettled Roma in their intentions to keep a close eye on the defender.
The Spaniard is a mainstay in Arsene Wenger’s team and has been played at both left-back and centre-back in the recent few weeks.
However, an offer from Roma could be an attractive prospect if their interest is genuine and they make a move for Monreal, he may be tempted to seek pastures new this summer.
The Gunners may be set to overhaul their squad but Monreal remains an important player for Wenger at the moment.
