French giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly readying an initial bid for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to French sources.

One of a number of clubs said to be interested in the Chilean’s signature, the Parisians are ready to offer Sanchez a way out of London, as he continues to stall on a new contract with the Gunners.

Sanchez has been in red hot form for Arsenal this season, registering 19 league goals and nine assists; the third and joint-fourth best figures in the league, respectively.

With the former Barcelona man’s contract set to expire at the end of next season, Arsenal may well be forced to cash in on their star player once the transfer window reopens, despite claims that the club do not wish to lose him.

Reports from France suggest PSG will lead with an opening bid of around €55million (£46million) in their attempt to bring Sanchez to the Parc des Princes in the summer, as they look to remedy what has been a difficult season for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
