West Ham eye summer move for Lucas Perez
West Ham are reportedly very keen on making a move for Arsenal forward Lucas Perez this summer.
According to a report from the Times, the Hammers have lodged an enquiry to explore the possibility of signing Perez as they continue their search for an answer to their attacking problems.
West Ham have been hunting for a new striker for some time now but their efforts have proved to be of no substance, but a move for Perez would certainly be a statement of intent.
Since his £17million move from Deportivo back in the summer, Perez has found it fairly hard to break into the starting line-up at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger, being used mainly as a rotational option or an impact sub.
Perez has apparently grown frustrated at the lack of opportunities and could be seeking a move away from the Emirates.
Time will tell if Arsenal are willing to sell up but if they are, West Ham look like they’ll be in the race to sign him.
