# Midfielders Arsenal should consider signing in the summer

Controversy has surrounded Arsenal in the last month and amongst all the uncertainty, one thing is for sure – there will be a lot of change in the summer.

Whether that be with or without long-serving, scrutinised manager Arsene Wenger or not, there is sure to be plenty of alterations to Arsenal’s squad, only made more apparent by the [reports](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/mar/09/football-transfer-rumours-alex-oxlade-chamberlain-to-join-arsenal-exodus) of a player exodus ahead of the summer transfer window.

One position that is certainly holding an interesting situation is in central midfield. Granit Xhaka looks to have finally settled at the Emirates but apart from that there looks to be very little stability and continuity in the middle.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been performing fairly well recently but it now looks as though he’s seeking a way out of the club. Mohamed Elneny has shown he has quality on occasions this season but has still failed to nail down a place in the side, whilst Francis Coquelin has shown that he’s not exactly the most reliable of midfielders.

So, it’s looking likely that the Gunners will add to their midfield reinforcements when the summer transfer window comes around.

Here is a selection of midfielders that we feel as though Arsenal should consider signing!
