After the successive defeats to Watford and Chelsea, it was vital for Arsenal to get back to winning ways against Hull City and they did that thanks to two goals from Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners were nowhere near their best and Hull looked much better than a side in 18th place and there seemed to be an air of nervousness around the Emirates, which was understandable given the two previous results.
The manager didn’t make wholesale changes to his side, instead he trusted them to turn things around and they repaid him, well, sort of.
It wasn’t a vintage Arsenal performance by any means but the three points were the only thing that mattered.
