A penalty from Alexis Sanchez in the 98th minute gave Arsenal a much-needed win against Burnley, one which looked unlikely when the visitors scored their own equaliser with an injury-time penalty just s few minutes earlier.
When Francis Coquelin fouled Ashley Barnes in the 93rd minute, Andre Gray looked to have snatched victory away from the Gunners, but the home side didn’t give up and got themselves a big slice of luck for the second time in a game against Burnley.
In the reverse fixture, Laurent Koscielny’s winning goal was dubious and this time, the Frenchman was involved again. There is no doubt that Ben Mee fouled him but Koscielny did look like he was offside.
Either way, the spot-kick was given and Sanchez’s Panenka found its mark to send the Emirates into frenzy.
It was a mad game, packed with incidents and talking points.
