According to the Mirror, Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson on loan for the rest of the season.
Sam Allardyce was the manager of West Ham when he brought Jenkinson in on loan for the 2014/15 season, a campaign which could be regarded as the best season of his professional career to date.
He returned to West Ham the following year but has a terrible first-half of the season before an ACL injury ended his 2015/16 campaign. He didn’t return until late in the Autumn for Arsenal and he’s made a handful of appearances this term.

However, Jenkinson is still very much considered a fringe player at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger is willing to let him leave the club again on loan for some regular first-team football and to boost his confidence.
Watford, Aston Villa, Swansea and West Ham have also enquired about the England international who has 18 months left on his current deal with the Gunners.
