Arsenal’s long unbeaten run in the league came to an end in midweek when they surrendered a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Everton at Goodison Park.
The team didn’t quite click as they usually do and that, combined with a spirited Everton performance, meant that they returned from Merseyside with no points.
They get the chance to make up for that loss in a massive game on Sunday when they once again travel to the North West, this time to face Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side returned to winning ways on Wednesday with a victory over Watford and will be looking to pick up another three points to leapfrog the Gunners in the table.
City currently sit in fourth place, one point behind Arsenal. Both sides will know that a win will take them into second place as Liverpool do not play until Monday night.
