Arsenal rescued a point against Manchester United thanks to a late header from supersub Olivier Giroud.
In truth, Arsenal were really disappointing in attack but defended pretty well, although a brief lapse in concentration was all that was needed to allow Juan Mata to fire home with roughly 20 minutes to go.
It looked like the Spaniard’s neat finish would be enough to give United all three points but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had other ideas.
He beat Marcus Rahford easily and put in a lovely cross. Giroud timed his run and jump to perfection and nodded past a helpless David de Gea.
