# Napoli and AC Milan keen on signing Olivier Giroud

Both Napoli and AC Milan are keeping tabs on Olivier Giroud’s situation at Arsenal, according to [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/unhappy-arsenal-striker-linked-with-january-serie-a-switch-68945?).

It’s believed that Giroud is becoming increasingly frustrated with his lack of playing time this season and is considering his future.

The Frenchman has made just eight Premier League appearances so far this season, scoring three goals but more importantly, he’s only played 92 minutes of football.

Arsene Wenger has been employing Alexis Sanchez as the Gunners’ number one striker this season, being spelled by summer signing Lucas Perez in the cups which has left Giroud on the outside looking in.

With his contract expiring in the summer of 2018, Giroud is considering just running down his contract at the Emirates over the next 18 months and leaving on a free transfer at the end of next season.

Both Serie A clubs are said to be preparing January moves for the striker should he look to force through a move if he doesn’t play more regularly over the next two months.

Seeing as both Sanchez and Perez are struggling with injuries at the moment, we could see Giroud in the starting lineup on a more regular basis in the near future.
