# Arsenal poised to rekindle Gabigol interest

Arsenal could be set to rekindle their interest in highly-rated Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa in January.

According to Sportmediaset, via [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/transfer-report-arsenal-chelsea-and-manchester-city-could-be-set-january-battle-over?), his employers Inter Milan are ready to send the young Brazilian forward out on loan when the January transfer window opens up.

The Serie A side managed to fend off interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City to land the 20-year-old in a £25m deal from Brazilian side Santos but ‘Gabigol’ has played just 16 minutes of football since signing in the summer, leaving Inter unimpressed and ready to let him leave.

Having recently broken into the Brazilian national team set-up, scoring twice in four caps to date, ‘Gabigol’ will want to play regular football to keep hold of his place in the squad, making a January move possible the only way for him to play every week.

All three Premier League clubs who failed to sign him in the summer could return with loan offers in January, providing they can agree upon an option to buy the striker if he impresses.
