Five Things We Learned: Arsenal 2-0 Reading

The Gunners were up against Reading in this round of the EFL Cup. It was expected that Arsenal were going to field a relatively weaker side compared to the usual line-up, which also happened to be the case. Players such as Maitland-Niles, Reine-Adelaide and Holding were given the chance to prove themselves.

The first half wasn’t the most exciting one ever, but Arsenal managed to get themselves a goal through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who punished Reading for a mistake at the back.

The second half was quite dull, as nothing really happened. Arsenal tried to play some good football, but this didn’t really work on a lot of occasions. The highlight of the second half was the 2-0, which also came from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. After that goal, it looked like Reading had given up, which led to an easy end of the game for the Gunners.

With all that being said, let’s take a look at the Five Things We Learned!
