The Football Observatory have compiled a list of the most expensive squads in the world and Arsenal rank highly.
Whilst Manchester United’s squad is valued the highest, Arsene Wenger’s current group of players is the 8th most expensive squad in the world – ahead of the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Atletico Madrid.
The Football Observatory state that Arsenal have spent €381m putting their squad together, which is the fourth-most of any Premier League side.
That figure was obviously contributed to recently by the arrivals of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez from Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna respectively, earlier this year.

Other big signings included in Arsenal’s total squad value figure are of course the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka, all of whom cost over £30m each.
Whilst the release of this table proves little towards Arsenal’s chances of success this season or beyond, it does show they have the financial clout to compete with the top clubs.
After a period of lower spending thanks to their move to The Emirates Stadium, Arsenal now sit amongst their European rivals with a squad worth an amount befitting of their stature.
