Combined XI: Burnley v Arsenal

Arsenal travel to Burnley this Sunday off the back of four successive wins in the Premier League. Burnley only have two wins to their name so far this campaign and sit in 14th going into the tie. The game itself will no doubt be a tight one – no matter how far apart the sides are in quality. Arsenal edged Burnley 0-1 the last time the Gunners visited Turf Moor with Aaron Ramsey grabbing the solitary goal.

Burnley’s home ground has proved a tricky hunting ground for the so called bigger teams in recent times. Manchester United in particular have struggled there; losing in 2009 and only managing a 0-0 draw the last time they made the journey North.

That being said however, Burnley notoriously struggle for goals and Arsenal have kept clean sheets in both their last outings – on paper it looks as though Arsenal shouldn’t have too much trouble winning this one. Arsene Wenger’s men are in scintillating form at present, scoring goals a-plenty and keeping clean sheets at the other end and will go into the game confident of maintaining that trend.

So – let’s see how the two sides compare when they matched up as individuals in this weeks combined XI.
