Arsenal welcomed Chelsea to the Emirates on Saturday evening and sent them packing with a dominant performance.
The Gunners started like a house on fire and were two up inside 15 minutes thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott.
Sanchez took advantage of Gary Cahill’s mistake and ran through on goal before neatly beating Thibaut Courtois while Walcott slotted home from Hector Bellerin’s pass.
It was 3-0 before half-time thanks to Mesut Ozil who finished a devastating counter attack that saw him and Sanchez turn Cahill and David Luiz inside out.
The second half was less eventful but Arsenal were always comfortable against a Chelsea side that struggled to get much going.
The win was hugely deserved and was a great way to celebrate 20 years since Arsene Wenger was announced as the Gunners’ boss.
