Arsenal travel to Hull this weekend, a happy hunting ground for the Gunners in recent times. Most recently Wenger’s men trounced the Tigers 4-0 in last years FA cup replay, in a game that saw Arsenal tear apart the opposition. With similar line-ups expected, you would be forgiven for thinking that the North-London side already have the win in the bag. But, Hull have started the season in the most unexpected way, winning 2 out of their 4 games so far.
Marked by the bookies as relegation fodder, Mike Phelan’s men have been the surprise story of the campaign up till now and go into the clash with Arsenal level on points with the Gunners. The likes of Curtis Davies and Robert Snodgrass have delivered some stellar performances and Arsenal will need to be ready for the Tigers’ whole-hearted approach.
That being said, Arsenal seem to have found some form themselves – winning both of their last 2 Premier League games. Coming off the back of a tough but positive game against PSG in midweek, Arsene Wenger’s side will be eyeing a vital three points on Saturday afternoon.
So, how do the two sides match up? It’s time for our combined XI…
