After beating Southampton at the weekend, Arsenal travelled to Paris to face PSG in their opening Champions League game.
Arsenal continued their faltering in form into the first-half of the game. PSG completely dominated the north club and it seemed like Arsenal could’ve been dead and buried by half-time. Edison Cavani should’ve had a hattrick in the first-half, while Arsenal showed no attacking threat going forward. The half-finished 1-0 to PSG, which arguably was lucky for Arsenal.
In the second-half, the game completely changed. Arsenal showed much more quality going forward and looked more comfortable against PSG’s attacks.
Wenger finally brought on Giroud for Sanchez which gave Arsenal some presence up front. Olivier Giroud’s introduction seemed to provide some impetuous for Arsenal, who instantly looked much more threatening. Following Ozil’s cross, Sanchez smashed home Arsenal’s equaliser and ultimately earned them a fair point.
With that said, let’s look at how the players got on.
