Arsene Wenger will not allow Mathieu Debuchy to Arsenal this summer as he still wants to use him, according to Le10 Sport.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a late loan move to La Liga side Espanyol, but it looks like Wenger still wants him in the squad as a back-up player.
The right back spot in the Gunners’ squad has been taken by 21-year-old Hector Bellerin in the last two years, Debuchy joined Arsenal in 2014, but has only played 22 games in all competitions for the side.

Debuchy spent the majority of his career at Ligue 1 side Lille, where he made 301 appearances across ten seasons. He made the move to the Premier League with Newcastle in Jan. 2013.
The Frenchman went back to Ligue 1 with Bordeaux last winter, although injuries meant that he only made nine appearances.
Arsenal have recently confirmed the arrival of Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi, who is thought to have cost around £35 million.
