Arsenal hosted Liverpool on Sunday afternoon in the second game of the day.
Arsenal fielded a somewhat weak squad, with Rob Holding and Calum Chambers taking the centreback roles, while Liverpool were without Sturridge up front and James Milner.
Arsenal started the better of the teams and dominated possession for most of the first-half. Liverpool were very un-Klopp like; they showed no real energy or pressing.
After their prolonged dominance, Arsenal were rightly awarded a penalty after a rash challenge from Alberto Moreno, Walcott failed to convert however. The winger made up for the miss by burying Arsenal’s first goal though.
It looked like Arsenal would go in 1-0 up until Phillipe Coutinho scored an incredible freekick.
The second-half, however was completely different. Liverpool were a different side and scored three more goals; they were too quick, too good and too much for Arsenal.
Arsenal pulled two goals back, but deservedly lost.
With that said, let’s look at the player ratings for Arsenal.
